Our Pastor
Reverend Shalamark Simpson was born in Atlanta Ga., to Joyce (Person) Simpson and the late Robert David Simpson Sr. He is the husband of 25 Years to First Lady Pamela (Rogers) Simpson. Pastor Simpson is a Christian and believes that God is the Supreme Authority and Ruler whom he serves diligently. He believes in the Triune Godhead, God the Father, God the Son in the unique person of Jesus Christ; and God the Holy Spirit, who is the Navigator and Comforter. He confessed openly and believes precisely that Jesus is his personal Lord and Savior, who died, was buried. and rose again. Pastor Simpson acknowledges that he is indebted to God and strives at an exhausting pace daily to offer Jesus Christ to the world.
Pastor Simpson is presently the Pastor of First Baptist Cedar Bluff. His Ministerial experience includes Sunday School teacher, Youth Director, Transportation/Bus Driver, and Evangelism Team Leader at Josey Creek M. B. Church in Starkville, MS. He’s a member of the Oktibbeha County Ministerial Alliance; Care Home Ministry Rolling Hill Facility September 2003 to December 2007; Assistant Pastor of Josey Creek M. B. Church in Starkville, MS from December 2003 to November 2007; Outreach Ministry-Evangelistic Ministry, January 2005 to November 2007; Prison Ministry in Marshall County Correctional Facility December 2007; Certified teacher for the National Baptist USA, Incorporated, State Convention, State Congress, Whitefield District and Certificate of Progress Program; Classes includes Synoptic Gospel, the Gospel of John, Baptist Doctrine, Developing Your Spiritual Gifts, the Doctrine of Holy Spirit, How the Bible Came to Be, and Spiritual Formation
Pastor Simpson is a Graduate of B. L. Moor High School in Crawford, MS. He received a certificate in Pastoral Ministry from New Orleans Theological Seminary; Diploma from Congress of Christian Education Theological Program; Bachelor of Theology in 2009 and Master of Theology in 2011 from Christian Life School of Theology (Beacon University) in Columbus, GA. Pastor Simpson received his Associate of Arts (Criminal Justice) Degree from Itawamba Community College in May of 2012; Associate of Arts (Interdisciplinary Study) Degree in December 2014, Bachelor of Science (Science and Religion) in May 2015, Master of Arts (Theological Studies) Degree in May 2016, and a Master of Arts (Executive Leadership-Business) December 2018 and a Master of Divinity 2022 from Liberty University in Lynchburg, VA. Pastor Simpson is currently studying for his Ph.D. in Bible Exposition/Education (All but Dissertation [ABD] Status) at Liberty University.
Pastor Simpson's desire is to see people lives transformed into Christ-likeness and his mission is to “OFFER CHRIST TO THE WORLD”

Deacon Anthony Jefferson is married to Deaconness Robin Jefferson. They have three children: Rolundius, Ra'una, and Rija, as well as a dog named Roxy. Dec. Jefferson is also the owner and operator of Affordable Painting LLC, he has worked as a painter for over 20 years. In addition to the Deacon ministry; Deacon Jefferson is also a member of the praise team, and youth leader's ministry at First Baptist Cedar Bluff.
Greetings from First Baptist Cedar Bluff. Deacon Marcus Quinn; is the proud father of three lovely daughters that the Father has blessed him with. He's a ten year member of FBCB. Currently he serves on the finance committee, youth department, adult Sunday school teacher and director of the evangelism ministry. Presently teaching is his primary calling. We invite you to join us to peer into the depths of God's word.

Sis. Pamela Simpson
First Lady Pamela Simpson has been a member of First Baptist Cedar Bluff for some years. Sister Simpson’s educational endeavors include earning an Associate of Arts from East Mississippi Community College, an Associate of Arts in Liberal Studies from Itawamba Community College, and a Bachelor of Science from Mississippi University for Women.
Her heart for service shines brightly through her active involvement in church ministries. Sister Simpson generously gives of her time and talents as a youth leader, assistant program director, and a member of the evangelism team at FBCB. In each of these roles, she demonstrates a passion for nurturing others, encouraging spiritual growth, and sharing the transformative message of the Gospel.
A lover of the unadulterated truth—God’s living Word—Sister Simpson is unwavering in her belief in Jesus Christ and the finished work accomplished on the cross. She holds fast to the conviction that “by grace a person is saved through faith—and this is not one’s doing; it is the gift of God” (Ephesians 2:8). Her faith is grounded in the assurance that Jesus gave His life for the redemption of humanity, offering the promise of eternal life with the Lord.
Above all, Sister Simpson’s deepest desire is to give praise and honor to the Lord, ever mindful that Jesus alone is worthy of all glory. Her steadfast devotion, servant’s heart, and love for truth leave an indelible impact on those around her, exemplifying the spirit of grace and service at the heart of First Baptist Cedar Bluff.

Holding a Bachelor of Business Administration, a Master of Business Administration, and a Doctor of Business Administration, she draws upon this breadth of knowledge as she serves as secretary for FBCB. These qualifications inform her approach and deepen her commitment to the congregation.
But numbers and titles alone do not capture the heart of what FBCB means to her. This church has been her spiritual home since childhood—a place whose warmth and generosity of spirit have shaped her life. There is something uniquely welcoming about this spiritual community, vibrant energy in worship that honors tradition while remaining open to bold and unconventional paths in pursuit of Christ’s calling.
We are steadfast in our belief in the power of prayer, the enduring authority of Scripture, and the necessity of living our faith—not just in word, but in deed. FBCB is more than a building; it is a living testament to what happens when hearts are open, traditions cherished, and faith is active in every moment.

Essence Walker
Essence Walker has been a devoted member of First Baptist Church of Cedar Bluff
for more than a decade. She serves faithfully as the Youth Director and Program
Coordinator, where she leads with passion, creativity, and a commitment to
nurturing young hearts for God.
Her favorite scripture, “I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the
righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread” (Psalm 37:25), reflects her deep
trust in God’s provision and faithfulness.
Essence is married to Daniel Walker, Sr., and together they are the proud parents of
two children: DJ, age 9, and Emmerie, age 2. Beyond her service in the church, she
is a Licensed Professional Counselor and the owner of a mental health practice that
she has successfully led for the past six years. Her passion for helping others
extends from her professional calling to her ministry within the church family.

Bro. Tom Hill
Bro. Tom Hill presently serves as our Sunday School Superintendent and as a member of the Finance Team. His remarkable career spans approximately forty-four years at AT&T, where he honed his expertise as a Splicer and Digital Technician. Throughout those decades of diligent service, Bro. Hill distinguished himself by earning a multitude of professional certifications, underscoring his dedication to excellence and continual growth.
Yet his commitment extends far beyond the workplace. Bro. Hill has enriched his spiritual journey by actively participating in numerous church conferences. His steadfast devotion, both in vocation and ministry, exemplifies the spirit of service and learning that lies at the heart of FBCB.

Dr. Beverlee Jackson
Dr. Beverlee Jackson is a dedicated educator and servant leader. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Education, a Master’s degree in Instructional Technology, a Specialist in Instructional Technology, and a Doctorate in Instructional Systems and Workforce Development (ISWD).
She is married to Dr. Jermaine Jackson, and together they are blessed with one son, Jonathan Jackson.
Dr. Jackson faithfully serves as the Usher President of First Baptist Cedar Bluff Church (FBCB). Psalms 84:10 (KJV) – “For a day in thy courts is better than a thousand. I had rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God, than to dwell in the tents of wickedness.”

Sis. Cynthia Hill
With a deep passion for church ministry and a heart transformed by faith as a born-again Christian, I have found profound fulfillment serving in various roles within the church, including Kitchen Director, member of the Hospitality Committee, and Secretary of the Usher Ministry. My commitment to service is grounded in a strong academic background; I hold a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Arts in Human Sciences, as well as an Educational Specialist degree in Educational Technology all from Mississippi State University. Additionally, I have completed all but the dissertation for a doctorate in Instructional Systems at the same institution. After dedicating thirty-seven years to Mississippi State University, from which I am now retired, I continue to cherish opportunities to serve my church community and support its mission with both enthusiasm and experience.

Ra'Una Robinson
Sis. Ra’Una Robinson's path is one marked by dedication to learning and a deep commitment to service. As a proud graduate of Northwest Mississippi Community College, Sis. Robinson hold an Associate of Science degree and have successfully completed the rigorous Respiratory Therapy program. These achievements have set the foundation for her continuing educational pursuits at Mississippi State University, where she is currently advancing toward a pre-med major. With her sights set on a career as an Anesthesiologist, she is driven by a passion to deepen her understanding and expertise in the healthcare field—equipping her with the skills necessary to make a meaningful impact in the lives of others.
Yet, her journey is defined not only by academic and professional growth, but by an active engagement in her faith community. At First Baptist Cedar Bluff, she is honored to serve as a member of the media team, praise team, the usher ministry, and praise dance performance coordinator. With a spirit anchored in faith and energized by purpose, she is guided by the conviction that true fulfillment is found in uplifting others and living out the call to serve.
